Yona’s so into figure skating these days, she has not tried doing it though but she watches every movie with figure skating that I downloaded: Ice Princess, Cutting Edge, etc but one particular movie really got her interest, Blades of Glory. She watches it twice a day and in two weeks she already know the lines in the movie. The movie is really not for kids as it has foul words and sexy content so what I do is watch with her and skip these parts. She sings “I don’t want to miss a thing” and “lady humps” pa nga!
Then this afternoon, she was humming “I don’t want to miss a thing” again. So we joined with her completely finishing her lines when all of the sudden she shouted:
“Mommy, Katie is not whore!”
Marcelle and I were so shocked! Dada recovered from the shock first and asked “What’s that again, sweetie?” then she said “Chazz Michael Michaels said Katie is not a whore!”
She got this line from the movie itself.
m.y. G.o.d.
I didn’t know how to react. I thought na edit ko na lahat.
but when she was asked what that line is, she shrugged and said “I don’t know…”
Last week was such a mess! I was mostly outside busy doing nothing for last Friday’s meeting with fellow Smart Parenting moms. I was just so excited that’s all, I am always excited to meet them and suffers from a weird kind of excitement every time we schedule a date. Aside from this it was Mhellai’s birthday last Thursday so we celebrated this in Kidsahoy yesterday. It was a simple celebration yet we were all happy, I don’t know about Mhellai hahaha
Aside from the party preps I also got busy launching my bags, Bag-A-Berde – the bag that saves. I need to do a lot of stuff to promote this site
I believe in it’s cause so I know that this will prosper.
Posh Baby’s keeping me busy too! So I am really thanking God for the blessings He has showered us these days
Saving the whole earth from global warming and greenhouse effect can be very overwhelming. I know that we, as a family could not do it alone. We need companions, we need to spread the world and convince people to go green and do their own little thing for the earth!
The whole world’s buzzing over these issues for the past centuries but are we doing anything? No. Most establishments still uses plastics that would take thousands of years to degrade, factories still spill their excess garbage directly to our rivers, we still throw our trash anywhere – not thinking of the after effects. Plastic bags are everywhere, we use them all the time because we are left with no choice – these damn establishments use such bags for their merchandise. And these bags? they add to the tons of garbage we dispose everyday. What will happen to our earth in the next 50 years or so? Just imagine.
As a mom I worry about the kind of environment my daughter will have in her entire lifetime, so as early as now we already taught her the value of our mother earth and how it needs to be cared of. We already started by using organic products everyday and we encourage you to do so, too! We also enourage other moms to buy and use shopping bags from “Bag-a-berde“, the bags that save
We were struck in a traffic jam in Talaba last Saturday when I thought of asking hubby of the Filipino translation of the word “bag”, he told me it was “insekto” hahaha I told him that I was not referring to “bug” but “bag”. He told me it was just simply bag. But it’s not. There has to be something more pinoy – more deeper translation, a more ethnic one.
Alam niyo ba?
