One would know that it’s almost Valentine’s Day when suddenly everyone becomes too mushy and cheesy and expensive gifts in boutiques sprang like mushrooms. That anything red is being correlated with hearts and ribbons and gifts and love!

I get a twinge of guilt every time I see people rushing to buy things for this very special occasion, it’s because we do not celebrate it like most couples do. We don’t dine out, we don’t date and we don’t give each other gifts. I don’t know, I am accustomed that this occasion is celebrated each day of your relationship and not just once a year.

To clear things out, hubby and I is probably one of the most romantic people in the whole world – we show our love for each other even in public! We don’t do PDA of course, but we do kiss whenever and wherever we want to.

Then you might be asking why we decided to celebrate the Vday? It’s because we’re in love everyday and does not have to be reminded about it in an occasion celebrated by everyone. Another thing, one single dinner on valentine’s day is so costly – so I really won’t appreciate it. Chocolates, flowers, plushies don’t appeal to me as well. Gifts? I love it but we’re too poor for that. He doesn’t have to treat me out to dinner, buy me expensive flowers or give me extravagant gifts to remind me of how much he loves me – because he shows that to me each day.

Treating me well every single day since the day we met is something I am going to cherish for the rest of our lives. I could not remember a day when he ignored or neglected me. Hubby loves me so much that I was able to forgive him for the simple things we have fought about before. He’s just human after all. But beyond that I could see that his love for me, for us is incomparable. And he doesn’t have to spend a cent just to show me how much we are to him.
