Eons ago creating relationships can be as hard as physics and trigonometry. You have to go through a lot of hassles like posting mails on the postal office, wait for it to reach the recipient for 3 – 4 weeks especially if it’s overseas and wait for another round of weeks until the reply reaches you. It’s slow hence it’s called Snail Mail. I vaguely remember living in that era and it find it so hard and expensive.

Then came technology. I’ve had my first taste of surfing back in 1995 – and the feeling was oohhh! I love how I dealt with other people beyond my reach! It was so fun talking with friends from gazillion miles away and I realized that dating can be done online, how cool is that? Instead of the usual painful letter writing, e-mail or electronic mail has helped me convey what I was feeling in minutes, that instead of the expensive overseas calls I was able to talk to them in real time using IM messengers, damn thanks for technology!

Social networking sites and dating service sites have grown like mushrooms making a smaller world for mankind. It was no longer hard to communicate with people of all races and long lost friends who were now leaving overseas.

I should say that technology has helped improved the communication of man, bringing them closer to each other.
