I am a WAHM and at the same time a Homeschooling mom to my 4-year old. Having to work and teach at home entails a lot of discipline on my part because I have to juggle my time between working, teaching and doing house chores as well.
It’s a conscious effort and constant struggle because we are not bonded by a schedule for my day to day activities because I am a WAHM and she’s HOMESCHOOLED but I still have to ensure that my daughter will get the value of time management. This is very important because in two years she’ll be in a regular school already where she’ll be obliged to follow and stick with schedule.
So what I do is have a routine. We do things at our own phase but we have to stick with the time lay-out I made for our everyday activities. Say for example her nap time, she knows that when the clock strikes 12noon, she has to take a nap and leave whatever she’s doing. It’s hard at first knowing how strong-willed kids today but I have to set rules otherwise she’ll grow up not respecting time.
Our schedule has changed since the last time I posted it. I am now working full time (at home) so I am spending less time teaching her, good thing Dada is often at home because things are not well in their office, Yona has a new teacher now! Dada has taught her how to add and subtract, more things about science, music, etcetera. And I know that he is a better teacher than me.
My day usually ends at 10PM. I normally leave undone things when it’s really time for bed. I respect bed time and I see to it that my daughter knows that. She too sleeps at 10pm.
1. Caine, Yona, Mommy Meyay and I all had a grand time in Fun Ranch though the original plans didn’t push through.
“Kuya” from the train allowed the mommies to join the kids on the train for FREE!
Fun Ranch was not crowded so the entire place was ours LOL
The Kids of Bayo staff was nice enough to allow the kids to PLAY bwahahahahaha we spent at least an hour there trying on new clothes and oh, we bought naman para hindi nakakahiya LOL
We saw Justin Cuyugan at gusto pa naming magpapicture harharhar
and the best part? Yona was able to climb the 5 foot “web” all by herself. I am so proud of her
Thanks Caine for coaching Yona and for the cheer “Go Yona! Go Yona!”
2. Thanks God for the ladies on the escalator and the train for helping Yona and for giving up their seats for us
truly angels!
3. Because I saw Mommy Pacquiao on Shangrila hahahaha She was oh so celebrity na talaga. She waves and waves sa escalator hihihihi
4. Thanks to Manong Driver of the shuttle, he pulled us out from the long queue. There were more than 100 people ahead of us. The basement was so cramped with people (it’s Friday, remember?), it was soooo hot and I was carrying Yona pa with bags and all. He pulled us out kasi naawa siya sa amin. God bless him!
Thank you Lord for this day and thank You for these wonderful people
Our family has been supporters of Kids Ahoy since February 2008. It was just a simple free play date that turned into a valuable friendship. Aside from loving their proactive community, we also believe in their aim in raising a Filipino global child. They offer a lot of activities for kids that will parents will surely love. This year they’re offering more choices including the following:

I was one of the members who got invited to the launch of Christine “Tin Tin” Bersola – Babao’s Parentin.tv – The First Philippine Online Parenting Show. Tin was supported by her husband, XXX’s Julius Babao, her mom and her friends in and out of the media circle.
With most people being mobile these days, Parentin.tv is one good alternative to parenting shows in the mainstream television. The site is a combination of webtv and website content where you can watch all episodes 24/7 and get fresh ideas every two days. More than that, it is an interactive website where parents can communicate with fellow parents online. With a PC, laptop or phone and an internet connection, you can view Parentin.tv shows anytime, anywhere and everywhere.
This is a dream come true for Tintin as she really would have wanted a Parenting Show eversince she gave birth to her first child, Anya. Her short parenting slot in ABS-CBN’s morning show showed how she’s good at it. As they say Tin “walks the talk”. In God’s time Parentin.tv was granted to her and the launch was just on the right timing as she’s carrying their second baby now.
Thanks a lot and good luck Parentin.tv!
Things are not well in my hubby’s office. My husband works at least one week in a month, the rest of the weeks he’s on Force Leave – just waiting for that darn SMS telling him to report for work (Hallelujah!).
The management already sacked the project-based employees leaving them the regular ones who have worked for them for the past 10 years or so. These people are all waiting for the management to say “the company’s dying, we can no longer sustain all your salaries therefore go and accept this check as a token of our appreciation” but they have been given a rocky schedule instead! How can a P100 Force Leave Pay feed a family? The company is NOT dying. It has enough work to sustain sub-contractors at the expense of their employees. I can thoroughly explain that damn subcontractor situation but I’d rather keep my mouth shut. I don’t want the management to use my words against my husband. They’re capable of doing that – that’s how shallow they are. They even sacked an employee 5 years ago just because of “hearsays”. Such pathetic people. Enough said.
Roselyn aka Joie was the first Team Lead who handled me when I first started in that office. We’ve been through a lot, as in a lot. A good person inside and out, people just can’t resist her charisma – her smiles will melt you.
After 13 long years she finally said goodbye to this office – a goodbye with a heavy heart because she never really want to leave but as I have said, “P100 can’t feed a family” so she opted to go.
Career-wise, she’s driven, an A-class employee who’s loyal to this company, umulan bumagyo pumapasok yan but while most people saw that, the management didn’t.
So goodbye…it’s the company’s loss Joie, not yours.
Now she’s off to a good start with a rocket high salary that no one can resist. As I have said over and over again, there’s life after ____________ and lahat ng umaalis dito, gumaganda!
You are just passionate with your work. It’s not that you like your work so much or anything, it’s just that you feel that you have to do this in order to achieve something in your life. Your commitment is weird.
I took this test in FaceBook and was pleased with the results.
I basically work for two things:
- To pay the bills.
- To have ENOUGH money for shopping.
Credit card bills. Electric Bill. SmartBro Bill.Water Bill.
Bills. Bills. Bills. I am so sick of them yet I have to deal with all of them monthly. Now I am so gracious that Yona’s not yet in school yet otherwise I’d have school and miscellaneous bills added to the ever growing list.
Now, I am a self-confessed shopaholic, that is when I have cash but I can live as poor as a rat if it’s necessary. So what’s drives me to work harder?
The Mall.
Sorry but I don’t think of the future. It’s just there, it’s unpredictable so why worry about it?
Weird nga.
I feel that I haven’t blogged in years!
Entrepremom is busy with regular work (plus additional work on the side!) so I rarely had a time to visit my blog
Poor dearie…
Will update you tomorrow.
p.s.
Aside from my regular work + sidelines, I am co-organizing Caine’s 5th Birthday party in Kidsahoy. So Funky!
BUT I am happy
That’s all that matters…
Para di sayang pamasahe.
I got two prizes from Makati and two from Mandaluyong so talagang sulit.
The first stop was in Paseo de Roxas, Makati. You know how it is in Makati, it requires a lot of walking, climbing of stairs and yes, more walking! Not to mention elevators and all. It’s one reason why I can’t work there – I simply hate walking. But since I was getting prizes for my winnings and I couldn’t afford a taxi cab – I need to do it.
I got my prize in Mom’s Today office for Yona’s appearance in their May – June issue.
“Kikay caught Sleeping“
I got the following from Medi Marketing:
Growee shirt which Dada hates *you know, groweeeeee! LOL*
Growee mobile phone holder
Growee Spoon and Fork Set
Growee Bag
Growee Water Container
A pack of body wash and wipes from Lactacyd
*not bad, huh?*
Next stop was still in Paseo de Roxas but on the other end. I had to walk several miles, climb a dozen stairs and mistakenly ride a freaking elevator UP when I was supposed to be going DOWN! It was so freaky but I have to post it on another blog. My elevator experiences deserve a special post only for them.
I claimed the Krispy Kreme GC I won from Pinoy Cravings. Too bad I got disqualified from the other host

“A Dozen of Original Glazed for Free!“
*Yum-yum-yum*
I rode a bus to Pioneer because I need to get my L’oreal White Perfect Pearl Duo Powder from Summit Media. I am not so into make-ups but when my friend Maiet told me how much that prize is, I changed my mind and emailed Trixie that I was willing to get the prize hahaha
That’s why we are branded as being fickle-minded, right?
We have every right to change our minds, ANYTIME.
L’oreal White Perfect Pearl Duo Powder
P999.99
*I Actually have no idea how in the world I am going to use it!*
Here’s my entry for Shop Crazy’ contest:
“I lost all the opportunities to be pretty since I rarely go out. To add insult to injury, I have uneven skin tone which makes me hate my natural morena color. I need products that would solve this dilemma and to gain back the confidence that I once had. I am 28 and yet I feel 40. My 3-year-old daughter has pearly white skin, and it’s so sad that people who don’t know us think I am her yaya.”
O di ba, bongga!?!?!
Since I was already in Summit Media, kinuha ko na din yung prize ni Yona na Disney Calendar for April Issue.
Yes, April! supposed to be the prize was already forfeited. Hello…it’s already July!
But then again, wala namang di nadadaan sa magandang usapan
Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!
Funny thing though, the staff of Summit Media REALLY asked for Yona’s birth certificate or any proof that she was indeed my daughter. I told her that I haven’t got any except for Yona’s health card and some pixies and vids on my phone. Silly girl.
Napagkamalan na naman akong yaya. Enough said.
I don’t really mind at all because one thing is certain, my daughter is very pretty
