Goldilocks has been a constant ingredient of our family gatherings for years but I never really appreciated its existence until the first birthday of my daughter, Yona.

Unlike most parents who spend thousands of money on birthday celebrations, my husband and I decided to be sensible and spend it the frugal yet meaningful way, and it’s by inviting some street kids to celebrate with us on her first birthday!

The emotion was unexplainable because we know that the little kids who hardly ever attend parties enjoyed the effortless princess party more than we do! They joined the games, enjoyed the food, brought home some loot and most importantly, a share of the Chocolate Disney Princess Cake from no other than, Goldilocks!

Just seeing their cheerful faces was enough to make us feel fulfilled because at some point, we knew that we made them happy but what they don’t know was the fact that it was them who really made our day – our daughter’s 1st birthday!

You’re the number 1 Goldilocks because my daughter’s 1st birthday isn’t that successful without you!
