She’s just 4 but it seems that my baby girl is now a little lady.
Today she showed me how ‘brave’ she is and how she’s good at ‘handling herself’.
We were in SM very early today to avail the additional 10% discount to SMAC members. We purchased a bunch of stuff in Ace Hardware so the additional 10% mattered a lot that despite of the long queue and hot-headed shoppers, Yona and I braved our way to the cashier and finish the transaction before 12noon. She managed her boredom so well by singing nursery rhymes and by asking me (a gazillion times) about why other shoppers were in a hurry and why some of them were already mad. (Point 1)
She posed with two mascots, yehey! She used to be afraid but yes, today she was brave enough to pose with them! (Point 2)

She asked permission if she can ride the Sport Arbitation churva alone. Of course! She used to be a scaredy-cat kaya. I felt like crying when she told me “Mom, I am a big girl! I can handle this! Waaaaaah! (Point 3)

For the first time I left her in Kumon and she was like “Okay mom, you can go to the bank now. I’ll be fine here.” I made a lot of bilin like “don’t go out unless I pick you up”, “tell Teacher Lea if you want to pee”, blah blah blah…to which she answered with “Mommy…” + *roll eyes* (Point 4)
After Kumon I knew that she was already tired but we’re meeting her Dada back in SM to get the items we’ve bought. She asked if she can play in the Wonderland for an hour ALONE – I normally say NO to this request but today I said YES! You should have seen the word H-A-P-P-I-N-E-S-S written all over her face! I left her there for an hour as I played alone in Tom’s World hehehe (Point 5)
Finally, I know that this was really, really wrong but I asked her to find us a seat in Chowking. Hehe sumunod naman siya. I was making my order but my eyes were on her naman. But you know what? She found a seat for us! Amazing! (Point 6)
Parents dread to see their babies grow up but it is inevitable. If only we can delay it longer! I was just thinking how Yona will manage separation anxiety when I enroll her next year but I guess I need to deal with it myself.
