We’ve been cleaning since Sunday evening so things were transferred from one location to another (sa tagalog pa, inikot yung mga gamit sa bahay). This is a major clean-up actually since my family are celebrating Christmas in our small home. Okay na eh, we transferred our sofa, dining table, etc. with no problem. It was hard but I did not break anything! Ang galing! I am so clumsy so it’s so surprising that I did not break anything.

But as I was resting I thought of transferring our old wall clock…unfortunately yes, I broke the clock! One stupid move.

I can’t leave home just to buy a new one so I used a little creativity to make it look pretty again.

Entrepremom_clock2

I gathered enough stars from an old Christmas hat, a portion of the hat was used to make the letters in Yona’s stockings.

At first I thought of using my ever reliable Turbo glue, but it was so runny that I decided to use a glue gun to stick the stars to the clock crack.

Here’s the final product:Entrepremom_clock3

Now our clock is happy again! Festive mood pa ;-)

Last night we put up of little Christmas tree. It’s just a small tree we bought for less than P100 ($2) last year. We prettified it a bit this year because Yona’s already demanding that it should have ribbons and chains PLUS the Christmas skirt. Yes, she liked it with a skirt.

Entrepremom_Xmas Tree Our theme this year is metallic red. We adorned the inexpensive tree with red balls, ribbons of red and gold, and chain.

How about you, care to share photos of your Christmas tree?

I found some old Christmas stockings and thought of putting it to use this year. I bought these plain stockings two years ago for an office program, but I never got the chance to use it.

Entrepremom_stockings

So, do you have old stockings that you want to prettify? The entire process may take time but it’s really easy and simple!

Materials:

- old Christmas stockings
- extra cloth or old Christmas ornaments for the design
- black thread or green for contrast
- glue gun
- pencil
- cotton
Entrepremom_stockings_materials_process

For the letters, I use fabric from old Christmas hats that we can no longer use as some portions are already tattered.

Cut out the letters for your kid’s name, stuff it with cotton and hand sew the sides.

When you’re done, glue the letters to the stockings and you’re done! Easy, right?

If you are not comfortable with sewing, you can simply glue old Christmas ornaments on the stockings.

On this one, I used the star I used for our Christmas tree last year. This made me think on what to put on the tree this time. Hahaha!

Now, who says Christmas decors have to be expensive?

Special thanks to Mauie for sharing this invite :)

Here’s the first part.

I finally got an email from a certain Robert about my payment, but no, I still don’t have my HARD EARNED MONEY. I got pissed off so I never bothered writing about this scheming company and their pathetic reply anymore.

A certain blogger commented on my blog so I guess it’s just right for me to shout that PAYING POST / BLOG ADVERTISING STORE IS REALLY A SCAM!

Here is his mail and my comments:

Hi there, Unfortunately at this moment we are doing our best to pay each blogger, however we also check all blogs for quality, nofollow links, errors, typos, etc.

Your payment may be delayed because:

1. Nofollow links

2. Other advertising forms in the paid post (like adsense, kontera, adbrite etc)

3. POst was removed

4. 404 error.

5. Grammar errors.

[aren't these supposed to be checked PRIOR POST approval??? why do the checking now?!?!?!]

We are investigating each and every issue and will let you know about the outcome of these procedures.

Also, do not send a zillion e-mails because you will be marked as spammer and your account will be suspended.

[Then find a way to answer on the first mail!!! How dare you tell your bloggers this sh*t when you do not even know how to reply!]

So there. I swear, these people are impossible. crooks. scammers.  I do not even know how to end this mess.

Should I let go?

Should I pursue them?

I worked hard for that money but there are times that I tell myself that it’s so not worth it. I can earn that in a few days but then again, they can do this to more bloggers if I just shut up, right?

I have a lot of favorite gifts but like Niko, I consider my laptop as my TOP favorite mainly because hubby gave it to me and I am earning from it.

He is not the type who showers me with material gifts so anything he gives to me matter, A LOT.

On my 29th birthday he gave me Kelly, my first laptop. Been using Oldie my desktop for so many years now so its time for me to go mobile.

On the coming days I am highly expecting that he’ll give me more hahaha

These are the things that I want to include in my Favorite Gifts list:

Kindle, $259 from Amazon

Reason for wanting this: I love reading but I love the trees and the earth. I wonder if it features the ‘great’ smell I love in new books? hehe

\

Vivienne Tam HP Mini, $699

Reason for wanting this: Need I say more?

So there, I’d be extra giddy happy with these two :)

I want to make this meme without Yona on my mind. Because, afterall, SHE is my favorite pastime. Her activities take so much of my time but I am not complaining.

Let’s just say I am making this to state my favorite pastime as a woman and as an individual.

On top of my list is BLOGGING. I blog a lot that I often run out of words to say and stories to share. I am telling myself to go out often so I’ll have the chance to see the world and share it to stay-at-home moms like me through my blogs. I blog because I have no one to talk to and I blog because I earn from it. But give me a good book and I will surely close my laptop.

Yes, I heart READING. I read a lot. I may not have read all the ‘brainy’ books out there or books just the brainy ones understand BUT I still am reading. I can’t put down a good book. I heart love stories, I love Twilight, I love high school love because IMHO it’s pure and true, I love romance, I love HEART. Obviously, I read romantic stuff.

I EAT when I’m happy and sad, anywhere, everywhere. Enough said. (add some coffee and I’m in heaven!)

So there, these are the things I do when I have free ‘me’ time.

How about you, what do you do when you have extra time?

Photobucket

Better late than never! It is already mid-week but I am still in a blogging hiatus.

Anyhoo we spent the weekend ‘farming’. Went over to my uncle’s house just to ‘farm’!

Yona ‘farming’

Mother and Daughter Farmer

It was not the best weekend but time spent with family will always be cherished.

Now that Little Yona has outgrown Dora (and thank God, Hannah Montana! I just think she’s too young for that!), she now loves Barbie! It all started with Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses. This movie was released in 2006 but I just introduced the animation to her last year. She never stopped watching the movie since then!

Entrepremom: Barbie

Then I introduced her to Barbie in the Nutcracker. This animation was released in 2001. Click here to view the story.

Now she’s into Barbie and the Three Musketeers and she has almost memorized the lines. She would watch it every day and has declared that she’ll be a musketeer when she turns 17! How’s that for an ambition?

But surprisingly, all she’s wishing for Christmas is a Barbie Rapunzel Cut And Style.

It has the following adorable features:

- Grow Rapunzel doll’s long hair back over and over again
- Grow Barbie doll’s hair as long as you wish
- Included are pop-bead extensions
- Girls can add waves and braids
- Magical scissors to cut her hair and try out new styles

One thing that Mattel has to improve on Barbie is the quality of the hair. I hate it when it becomes tangled! I bet it’s what most moms complain about as well. Do you agree mommies?

This is the second set of the 3 activity kits I got from Kidz Station. You can see the first one here.

Art activity is one good way to bond with your kids. It is inexpensive and both of you will learn a lot of things during the process.
