This was Pinay Mommies Community second grand eyeball already, I wasn’t able to attend the first because of my delicate pregnancy back then. I promised the mommies that I’ll make sure to attend the second one
For the information of everyone, Pinay Mommies Community is a group of Filipina moms from all corners of the world sharing the same passion: blogging.
Some moms arrived as early as 10am especially the ones assigned to organize everything while others came in late, some got lost at first and some got caught in the horrible traffic jam from the airport. But at 2pm, every one was there, all too hyper and excited to start the program! Lunch was served earlier so we were so full to the brim already when the program started.
Shout out to Mommy Pehpot and her sister, Mommy Maui, Iris and Montsch for the photos! Thank you guys!
We were so many that the girls at the back already used metal step stools to be seen LOL
A lot of moms brought their kids and some dads were there too including my husband to witness the chaotic yet fun get together of blogger mommies! We don’t just write fast, but we talk faster!
It was such a momentous event because all of us, including the ones from abroad and Visayas and Mindanao really took some time off our work just to be with each other. The day was spent chatting like how we usually spend the day “talking online” so imagine the noise we’ve created haha!
I was so glad that finally, I was able to meet my online mommy friends through the Pinay Mommies Community Eyeball. Events like these should be cherished because get-togethers like this do not happen every month! Not only that, the event was made spicier by our loving and generous sponsors and TONS of freebies from fellow moms. Aylavet!
Tokens from fellow PMC mommies, yeah!
I won one gift pack from Avon Philippines, one of our minor sponsors:
My kids were the happiest with my loot! The huge Ceelin bottle is already a huge cut off our budget and the Dolan bottles too. Thank you Unilab! I was so happy with the Drypers diapers because I spend 600++ for a huge pack of Drypers medium every 15 days for my little girl’s diaper supply. Fellow moms like Nicquee, Cielo, Mauie and Iris also gave theirs to me. Thank you so much! God bless you more!
Hope you can ‘like’ the page of our generous sponsors:

Sharing with you the cake I’ve made for the event, an order from Mommy Eihdra:
I have a lot of dead blogs, some I have not visited for a year. I lost my passion in writing and perhaps I’m too busy with so many things that I no longer have time to sit and write about something.
I am trying to focus on my baking and sugar craft. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and in our crafting area aside from being a hands-on mom to my two darling daughters. And yes, I still go to suppliers for ingredients, boxes and all. That’s how hectic my everyday schedule is.
I am even planning to study culinary arts so I could put up an Institution or Cafeteria Cook Jobs, hahaha I am dreaming too big?
When I started blogging back in 2004, I maintained a blog in multiply, a free site then migrated it to blogger.com, still a free platform. It was just in 2009 that I got curious about being paid that I decided to give domains and hosting a try.
When I was a newbie I still don’t know what those words were, “what is domain?” and “What is Web Hosting?“ were just two of my so many questions, but thanks to Mr. Google, he explained to me the meaning and how to’s in buying and maintaining a website. During my first try in migrating my blog, some of it got corrupted and I was on the verge of giving up but I never did, so I’m still here, blogging.

Hälsa, the Swedish term for health is one goal that every Filipino aims to have. For years now, Filipinos have been very conscious about their health and overall wellness so we become more and more picky with the food we eat and the activities we do. People are now looking for ways to relax because life has become more fast-phased therefore every day has become stressful for more people.
To acknowledge this need, Electrolux created a new line of airconditioners with a combination of advanced air purifying technologies that will keep one’s family healthy in so many ways.

Electrolux split-type, window-type and cooler
(I won the window-type *woot*)
New Product Features Integrated Air Filtration System capable of eliminating dust and other harmful particles:
- Bio HEPA Filter that traps very fine particles of airborne dust, bacteria, fungi and microbes then destroys the organisms by dissolving their cell walls with biological enzymes. This feature removes over 95% of bacteria and 99% of dust particles.
- Plasma Air Purification Technology that cleanses the air of contaminants and impurities, therefore reducing the incidence of allergies, asthma and even common cold.
- Vitamin C Technology. It releass nano particles of pure vitamin C which helps reduce stress, improve your skin and inhibit bacteria and combat-free radicals which cause cell damage.
- Gold Fin Protection Technology. A unique golden coating to withstand salty air, rain and other corrosive elements, and a Golden Bio Evaporator which prevents bacteria from breeding and spreading.

I woke up quite late this morning so let me make a last-minute blog post to welcome January 1st, 2011 before the day’s over
Last year, I made First Post, Self-improvement Plans and more to welcome 2010. Original plan is to make this a yearly habit hence this post
Then, my ultimate goal is: TO IMPROVE and by the looks of it, I’ve been successful in meeting my goals (partly, yes hehe) making this year’s ultimate goal to be: TO SUSTAIN.
Here are my goals last year, the results and my plans this year:
- Improve my writing. This is an on-going project and I try to learn as much as possible. I may not write like a professional writer but I vow to improve my writing not for anyone but for myself.
- Improve my blogs. I launched two blogs last year and planning to build and maintain more this year. Quite an achievement for a busy mom like me, yay! My blogs are full of paid ads, “not good” you must say but this is were I earn
I get paid $$$ to blog so I’m not planning to change anything BUT IMPROVE THE CONTENTS of my blogs. Fair enough, right? It’s easy when tasks are given in small numbers but when Sheriff visits and hands me a handful of tasks that’s when I press the panic button! I would often just write what’s required of me: 60-words and 1 link in a post related to the given link. Quite unfair for my readers but it is for me.
- Improve my baking skills. January of last year I was just trying out new recipes and my baking still sucks but guess what? June of the same year I launched my very own Project Happiness Bakehouse! I can vividly remember the baby and giant steps we’ve made for the bakehouse. Bittersweet is the exact word haha
So far we’ve made more or less 50 cakes and 3 thousand cupcakes, not bad for a 6-month old bakehouse, right? I’m so happy that the hubby and I finally found a business that we can do together.

- Improve myself. Oh, I’m a sure achiever in this department hahaha! I am now more optimistic though I must say that it is indeed a conscious effort. I have to remind myself everyday to be positive to get positive results in return and so far I succeeded.
![]()
- Pay ALL my debts. Uh-oh, we’re still working on this but hopefully this year successful na kami
![]()
- Have more friends and ditch those friends. Last year I was successful in uprooting myself from unnecessary friendships. I need to do it so I can see myself better
So this year I’m giving old and new friendships another chance (I won’t hide you from my wall na LOL). At 30 I already realized a lot things and being tied into friendships not beneficial on both sides is simply pure hell and unfair but since I already know were I stand in this world I better give friendship a chance, righty?
- Choose the right President. I did, we chose G1bo but the majority chose Noynoy Aquino so be it.
- In addition to this, another goal I have this year is to read more BOOKS (no e-books!), yes, real books. My ultimate goal is to read 4 books per month

All ready for 2011!
So there… how about you, what are your goals this year?
Globe is indeed the mother of all load-eating-internet service providers!
Since my DSL is still not yet up, I decided to buy a Globe Tattoo just so I am connected to the outside world. Services are okay except that it conks out at times and its 1G usage-limit. I have no problem with these limitations but I hate the way they eat up my load!
Last night, around 20:30, I subscribe to their one-day supersurf. My load was P146, less P50 for the supersurf, I should have P96 right? but the next morning when I checked my balance I only had P81 left! I didn’t complain because I really thought that was the only load I have. I am not so keen about these balances, really.
Moving on, it was around lunch time when I can no longer connect to the internet. Around 2:45 I left home and had a late lunch with the hubby, fetch my daughter from my folks and went to the grocery. We arrived around 7PM tonight so I immediately checked my connection – sadly, IT WAS STILL DOWN. I checked my SUPERSURF status and I was a bit surprised to receive this message: Sorry, you are not registered to Globe Tattoo SUPERSURF.
Huh? How come?
I tried registering again knowing that I still had P81 left but I got this message: Sorry, you don’t have enough load to register to Globe Tattoo SUPERSURF50. Holy f*cking cow!
This time I was really, really, really pissed. But you know what made me MAD? I checked my balance only to find out that I only had P1 left instead of P81.
WHERE DID MY LOAD GO?
I called 211 to report the incident and they assured me that my concern will be answered within 24 hours. I really hope so
This was worse than the SM barcode scanner incident I encountered a few years back. In situations like this, it’s no longer the money that matters but about the trust lost because I now know that they can eat up anyone’s load JUST LIKE THAT.
So how much more on accounts of unmindful subscribers?
That’s so mean of you Globe, you’re f*cking mean.

What is the significance of SEO to website owners?
By means of SEO, a website’s visibility in searches is improved and the higher a website rank in the searches, the more visitors it gets. More visitors = more money. This is basically the process of improving the visibility of a web site or a web page in search engines via “natural” or unpaid search results.
The words you’ve read above might come shocking if one has no ideas on SEO or any internet marketing strategy, that is why seminars like the one mentioned above is very important. Check out the video below:

Is it just me, or does baking really makes a person OC? I’ve been baking since last night for one order of Revel Bars but I couldn’t seem to make it right. I want my customers to be extra happy with their orders so the product has to be perfect! The first batch I did was over cooked so the tendency is for it to be dry and crunchy but Revel Bars should be chewy, fudgey and chocolatey so I made another batch again – this time I tweaked the ingredients a little bit.
The results? Revel Bars just the way I want it!

Got some food to share? Join us today on Food Trip Friday!
After our Bohol roadtrip, the soft-opening of my new project – Project Happiness Bakehouse and the opening of classes today – I am wondering why I’m still breathing!

Second, I already accepted orders for Project Happiness Bakehouse – nakakaloka! Sweets has it’s way of killing someone’s appetite
I hope you can visit my site and try my products
and lastly, my little girl entered the big school today so I was really, really excited! It went well but I think it was me who suffered from separation anxiety huhuhu
