What is the significance of SEO to website owners?
By means of SEO, a website’s visibility in searches is improved and the higher a website rank in the searches, the more visitors it gets. More visitors = more money. This is basically the process of improving the visibility of a web site or a web page in search engines via “natural” or unpaid search results.
The words you’ve read above might come shocking if one has no ideas on SEO or any internet marketing strategy, that is why seminars like the one mentioned above is very important. Check out the video below:

Is it just me, or does baking really makes a person OC? I’ve been baking since last night for one order of Revel Bars but I couldn’t seem to make it right. I want my customers to be extra happy with their orders so the product has to be perfect! The first batch I did was over cooked so the tendency is for it to be dry and crunchy but Revel Bars should be chewy, fudgey and chocolatey so I made another batch again – this time I tweaked the ingredients a little bit.
The results? Revel Bars just the way I want it!

Got some food to share? Join us today on Food Trip Friday!
After our Bohol roadtrip, the soft-opening of my new project – Project Happiness Bakehouse and the opening of classes today – I am wondering why I’m still breathing!
So to everyone who joined my May Giveaway, I’m sorry
I will announce the winner on Sunday, June 20, 2010. *I know it’s supposed to be for Mother’s Day, naging Father’s Day na!*
Okay, I’m getting crazier each day wahahaha First, I think I still have a “rural life hang-over” I swear, I’d get sleepy at 7PM and I wake up before the sun rises! Things we do in, where else but in the province of Leyte and Bohol LOL
Second, I already accepted orders for Project Happiness Bakehouse – nakakaloka! Sweets has it’s way of killing someone’s appetite
I hope you can visit my site and try my products
and lastly, my little girl entered the big school today so I was really, really excited! It went well but I think it was me who suffered from separation anxiety huhuhu
So how about you, what have you been doing this weekend?
Much love, Iris
Our Leyte visit isn’t complete without Lechon. The lechon in Leyte is very, VERY, as in very different from the ones I’ve tasted here in Manila – and we do not use Mang Tomas but local suka with garlic and salt. And it’s very cheap too! This whole pig only costs P3,800

Aside from the star of the show, my relatives also prepared the following dishes which were all heaven by the way:

Ginataang page

Our version of bopis

Binagoongang kalabasa

Chili Cheese Sticks
Every day in Leyte was “Food Trip Friday” because we were always full and I know that I gained weight for sure! I now need effective weight loss supplements to eliminate the excess weight I gained during our stay LOL
This week’s Mommy Moments’ topic is all about letters, art works or messages our kids have for their dads or those letters that we would like to send to our own dads.
My daughter is still not into writing but she loves drawing caricatures of her family and you would ALWAYS hear her say “Dad, you’re the best dad in the world!” Her dad would say that she is closer to me because we’re always together but I know that she is a daddy’s girl by heart.
Here are the latest photos of my daughter with her “fathers”:
with her Tito Meem
with her Papa Koks, my uncle
with her great grand-dad Tatay Noy
with the “best dad in the world”, daddy Marcelle
You might be wondering where my dad is…oh well, he’s very camera shy and he wouldn’t be happy if I post his photos here haha
It’s dad’s turn!
My husband has a very loving family and because he’s the eldest among 4 kids, he was the most pampered when he was little (and until now I guess…). Maybe this is the reason why he’s so loving to our one and only daughter. I am grateful of his efforts in taking good care of Yona – he’s a hands-on dad BTW.
My daddy and daughter team would study everything together. When it comes to art appreciation, nature, life skills, etc – I always tell Yona to ask and believe her Dada because he knows better. Mommy can only teach her how to fix her hair and yeah, blogging 101.

They have the same body clock – so yes, I love watching them while they’re asleep.

Here’s another shot – pinagbiyak na bunga!

They love to pose together

oh, and her Dad is her number 1 photographer haha

Happy Father’s Day Dada! We’re so proud of you
We love you so much and words are not enough to show you our love and appreciation. Muah!
This weekend was probably one of my busiest ever!
My whole Saturday was spent working on a prospective business (here I go again…) I studied the pros and cons, the investment needed, all the nitty-gritty of opening an online bakeshop. Yes, I finally decided to turn my hobby into a profitable business
Actually the website is already up but I cannot disclose it yet since I still have to gather enough photos for my baked goodies.
On top of that, I was searching for a good place to stay in Bohol as we are going there this weekend. We were too blessed to get a villa, large enough for 15 persons for just P4,500 per day! It’s located in the town proper of Panglao, a kilometer away from the beach. We didn’t get a beach front because it was very expensive!
I’ll post about my experience next week.
My Sunday morning was spent washing the clothes we’ll be bringing to Leyte. We’re leaving on Wednesday morning so the clothes have to be ready for packing now.
This week we’ll be busier for sure. Leyte – Bohol – Leyte whew!
Ta ta for now!
The special mother’s month is about to end so this week’s Mommy Moments theme is “Motherhood”. How has motherhood changed me?
I was 24 and at the peak of embracing my liberty when Yona came. No she isn’t an accident – she’s a gift. But to be honest, having her was not part of my plans then but Marcelle had it all planned. He was ready (to Dada: were you?), but me? No, because I was having fun! I was out every single night with friends, particularly Sally and Uela. We’d go clubbing like there’s no tomorrow! and then it happened.
Motherhood has taught me to be strong, to care for others aside from my self, to extend my patience because like newly married couples who came from different families, we have our share of misunderstandings, too. Not only that, I almost gave up during ‘adjustment’ period. It went on for about 2 years *sigh*
Marcelle and I were so alone on our journey to marriage and parenthood. Not that our parents were not there but because that’s how we wanted it. We want to learn on our own – to be on our own and thanks God, we did it. It may be a roller coaster ride but it’s all worth it.
I have written every single pain somewhere but I know how unfair it is for Marcelle if I share it here

This angelic face made it all so worth it!
Fast forward 2010.
I am now a stay-at-home-mom to this little kid. She’s turning 5 this year and we’ve been together (at home) since 2008.

It is hard being a mom, no one said it’s easy but seeing her happy everyday because her mom is around and is with her 24/7 makes a huge difference. Her daily I love you’s and hugs never fails to make me forget about the bills, dues and all.
I may not be the usual SAHM who just waits for her husband’s salary (oh how I really wish that’s my case!), I work hard to make both ends meet, but I am not complaining at all. I’d rather receive a meager salary and be with my kid than earn more but be away from her.
Motherhood has indeed changed me.
Cheers to all wonderful mothers!
(…I’m wondering if I’m still making sense. I feel like I’m babbling too much that I’m no longer making any sense LOL!)

and so the PayingPost / Blogadvertisingstore Scam saga continues…
Here are my previous posts on this roller coaster ride:
Just when I thought my PayingPost / BlogadvertisingStore scam has come to an end, I got the itch to open my account and immediately clicked the MY FINANCES tab. Lo and behold, I found something creepy:
Who the hell is RAJAT with JRS.NILAM@YAHOO.COM email address? that’s definitely not me! I double checked the transactions:
The last one was submitted May 16, 2010. Huh?!? My last transaction with them was on October 2009!
Geez, is somebody else using my account? Is this inside job? I prefer to think that it’s the latter because I can still open my account and the password is still the same.
Whatever this is, it really gave me the creeps.
Bottom line here is, NEVER EVER TRANSACT WITH PAYINGPOST OR BLOGADVERTISING STORE again.
Don’t waste your time writing for these crooks.
