My daughter and nephews were so addicted to the first CARS movie then that they couldn’t wait for the release of the CARS 2.

This morning, MSN is proud to debut a new exclusive trailer for Disney’s highly-anticipated “Cars 2,” which hits theaters this summer on June 24th. The new trailer provides a sneak peek of the adventure that Lightening McQueen (Owen Wilson) and Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) set out on as they compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix.

SEE YOU THERE!

Nobody at home noticed that we didn’t give Yona a gift last Christmas. She received a lot from Santa, her lolas and lolos, aunts and uncles, cousins and from my friends. So last New Year we finally gave her our super late gift so she would appreciate it more:

A Pet Doctor Barbie! Her Papa Koks purchases the latest Barbie doll model for her so we got an old model instead hehe

Her trusty purple Havs were already “too tight!” so we gave her a new one :)

I was so happy with what she got this year, no useless expensive toys weeee! She already has a lot and I noticed how she loves board games now.

Hope you love what we gave you sweetie!

I woke up quite late this morning so let me make a last-minute blog post to welcome January 1st, 2011 before the day’s over :)

Last year, I made First Post, Self-improvement Plans and more to welcome 2010. Original plan is to make this a yearly habit hence this post :) Then, my ultimate goal is: TO IMPROVE and by the looks of it, I’ve been successful in meeting my goals (partly, yes hehe) making this year’s ultimate goal to be: TO SUSTAIN.

Here are my goals last year, the results and my plans this year:

- Improve my writing. This is an on-going project and I try to learn as much as possible. I may not write like a professional writer but I vow to improve my writing not for anyone but for myself.

Improve my blogs. I launched two blogs last year and planning to build and maintain more this year. Quite an achievement for a busy mom like me, yay! My blogs are full of paid ads, “not good” you must say but this is were I earn :( I get paid $$$ to blog so I’m not planning to change anything BUT IMPROVE THE CONTENTS of my blogs. Fair enough, right? It’s easy when tasks are given in small numbers but when Sheriff visits and hands me a handful of tasks that’s when I press the panic button! I would often just write what’s required of me: 60-words and 1 link in a post related to the given link. Quite unfair for my readers but it is for me.

- Improve  my baking skills. January of last year I was just trying out new recipes and my baking still sucks but guess what? June of the same year I launched my very own Project Happiness Bakehouse! I can vividly remember the baby and giant steps we’ve made for the bakehouse. Bittersweet is the exact word haha :) So far we’ve made more or less 50 cakes and 3 thousand cupcakes, not bad for a 6-month old bakehouse, right? I’m so happy that the hubby and I finally found a business that we can do together. :)

Our first cake for 2010: Casino Cake for Ms. Aaliyah

See the fondant? it melted because we dressed up the cake when it was still hot hahahaha

The last cake we made for 2010 :)

- Improve myself. Oh, I’m a sure achiever in this department hahaha! I am now more optimistic though I must say that it is indeed a conscious effort. I have to remind myself everyday to be positive to get positive results in return and so far I succeeded. :)

- Pay ALL my debts. Uh-oh, we’re still working on this but hopefully this year successful na kami :D

- Have more friends and ditch those friends. Last year I was successful in uprooting myself from unnecessary friendships. I need to do it so I can see myself better :) So this year I’m giving old and new friendships another chance (I won’t hide you from my wall na LOL). At 30 I already realized a lot things and being tied into friendships not beneficial on both sides is simply pure hell and unfair but since I already know were I stand in this world I better give friendship a chance, righty?

Choose the right President. I did, we chose G1bo but the majority chose Noynoy Aquino so be it.

- In addition to this, another goal I have this year is to read more BOOKS (no e-books!), yes, real books. My ultimate goal is to read 4 books per month :)

All ready for 2011!

So there… how about you, what are your goals this year?

A few minutes from now, we’ll bid goodbye to another year and another decade to welcome 2011.

The past year has been good to us and it has moved me in ways that I couldn’t imagine. It made me laugh, cry, mad, frustrated, depressed (gee, I never thought that I have that much emotions in me!). Well thank you 2010 and hello 2011! May you bring joy and good fortune to all of us. My prayers are not just for myself and my loved ones but to everyone.

Happy New Year,  everyone!

Festive New Year cupcakes we made for a client :)

I was looking forward to this sale because I missed the previous one. I never thought that it will fall on this day – just in time for my dear daughter’s much awaited field trip. The coach-captain of the tourist bus asked if anyone from the bus wanted to be dropped-off on SM before it heads to Jesus Good Shepherd School but we were all tired from all the activities :P

I was planning to buy a bunch of kitchen utensils and a dish drier because based on the tarpaulins I saw last week, all items are on sale. Too bad.

This is SM’s version of USA’s Black Friday sale, normally happens on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

I’ve been joining eBay Philippines’ Secret Santa ever since I joined the community a few years ago. This exchange gift is unique because we just post our wishlist and ship our gifts to our ‘babies’  via courier. An eBayer plays Santa who controls the list of eBayers who joined and the whole exchange gift process. It’s fun and scary at the same time hehe

This year, I asked for a large tote bag or havaianas but my Mommy gave a more. I should have asked for an xbox 360 but the budget was only P500 hehe =)

Thank you Kyndler Candy!

The eBay gift-giving doesn’t end here :)

This year, active community members will share their blessings by treating kids from an orphanage (TBA).

Sunday, December 19 · 2:00pm – 4:00pm

Jollibee Ortigas

You can also do your share by donating toys, food, etc. feel free to contact JavaJunkie (annie) for more details.

Hope to see you there!

Aside from the christmas tree, a significant part of every Filipino household during Christmas is the ham. Among many reasons, the ham makes the Noche Buena special so it has to be perfect, nonetheless. This is why choosing the best ham available is crucial – because a lot maybe available on the market these days – yet none of them tastes like Holiday Ham: The Premium-Cut Ham. Take it from a non-ham eater like me!

The CDO Holiday Ham, fresh from it’s sealed pouch :)

(Shot taken from my trusty G11)

Here are three things why I could say that this ham is the best among the rest:

  1. It is made from a whole boneless meat from the hind leg – the best cut of pork for hams. Since it’s whole, not from chopped parts of pork, Holiday ham is tastier and meatier.
  2. Holiday ham is a high-quality smoked ham, the net marks attest to this. Only whole meat hams can be smoked in nets because if it isn’t, pieces would fall off.
  3. Holiday ham has no extenders! Based on the picture above, the ham is meat, juicy and very flavorful.

The Holiday ham, if kept on it’s original packaging could last for 6 months, frozen. Otherwise, opened packages will last for a week on the chiller.
