After more than a month of homeschooling my little one (2), I could safely say that I am getting into the groove. Roller coaster ride it is! super fun but I don’t know if I am going to hit the concrete fence or fall off the rollercoaster! But guess what? I have my seat belt straps on, so I am not a bit worried – just plainly enjoying the ride.
Wait, there’s nothing plain on this ride! There are tons of challenges (monetary issues, THOSE freaking stares, etc) but the giggling and time together we share are priceless. I want our kids to grow up knowing (and feeling!) that their parents were there for them every step of the way.
So how are we and Lana?
We are actually on our 4th week, supposed to be 5th week but I got sick last week and has to set aside all our lessons and materials. You can follow our journey on pinoy homeschooling here.
Teaching Lana is a breeze but scary at the same time. I am afraid that if I continue doing this, she’ll outsmart me in a few months haha! This tot has brains and I couldn’t be more proud.
Meanwhile, are you considering homeschool education for your child? Well, congratulations! Just mere consideration of joining the learning revolution is one big step already. Sure there are a lot of pros of cons and humongous amount of “what ifs” but believe me, it’s worth it in the end.
Here’s an infographic from Best Masters in Education that somehow sums up the whole homeschooling journey.
