Being frugal is not being cheap. It’s basically minimizing waste and saving for what really matters to you.
And in my case, I can give up eating out (both unhealthy fast food and delish fine dining food) but definitely not my books.
Today, I went out to buy books for myself and guess what, I splurged! Shhhh I only paid less than $17 for 4 books – okay, this is already splurging for me 🙂 Here’s what I got:
Writer’s Express: A Handbook for Young Writers, Thinkers & Learners $29.59
How to Succeed in Business Using Linkedin $24.57
The Everything Success Book: Reach Your Goals, Shape Your Dreams, and Achieve Fulfillment–In Business and at Home (Everything (Self-Help)) $14.95
The Everything Home-Based Business Book: Everything You Need to Know to Start and Run a Successful Home-Based Business (Everything Series) $14.95
See? I saved around $67!
All of these books will help me in my craft and our small business so I didn’t feel any guilt when I handed the lady cashier $17 just for the books.
TIP: Before buying brand new books in popular bookstores, check out BOOK SALE first. Oftentimes, they have it at a very cheap price. 🙂
